In addition to winter activities you can enjoy any time, the resort has several events scheduled in February.
If you’re itching to get out of town and do something fun in a beautiful setting, Nemacolin, 45 minutes’ drive from Morgantown in Pennsylvania’s gorgeous Laurel Highlands, is a great resort destination for a winter day trip or weekend away. You can ski, snowboard, and snow tube on your own schedule, and dogsledding is available when the temperature and snowpack are right. Or consider one of these February events:
Saturday, February 12
Winterfest
A day full of cold-weather adventures for the entire family. Earn a free lift or tubing ticket at the 10 a.m. Polar Plunge. Enjoy outdoor games, kids’ crafts, a sled dog meet-and-greet, and more midday, then show off your stuff in the Funky Slopes Style Competition or the adults’ or kids’ Out Cold race. Later, meet up at The Peak for dinner and live music.
Sunday, February 13
Big Game Watch Party
Watch the Superbowl in style. Start the day with a live, D.J.-led tailgate at noon. Kick-off is at 6:30 p.m., and the game will be on screens throughout The Peak, so you can enjoy it inside, outside, fireside, or by the year-round pool or hot tub. Classic Superbowl snacks like wings, jumbo pretzels, and much more will be on the menu.
February 25–27
Wholeness and Well-being Retreat
A weekend full of spa treatments, meditations, hiking, and more, including a personal nutrition session with retreat leader Jacquelin Danielle. Take advantage of the hotel’s Holistic Healing Center and Woodlands Spa for an IV-Wellness infusion or a more classic healing experience. Group brunches, a scavenger hunt, and other fun round out a reinvigorating, relaxing, and educational weekend experience.
