The WVU Alumni Association hosts its first-ever WVU Night at PPG Paints Arena on March 5.

WVU’s Alumni Association is gearing up to host its first-ever Alumni Night at PPG Paints Arena. Prepare for an exciting matchup as the Pittsburgh Penguins go head-to-head with their Eastern Conference rivals—the Buffalo Sabres—following a Penguins victory earlier this season.
WVU alumni fans of the Penguins will have the opportunity to connect with other alumni while experiencing a rivalry matchup. The first 500 tickets carried special benefits and were snatched up fast, so you’ll find lots of your fellow alumni at the WVU Alumni meetup starting at 5 p.m. at Pregame, where you can watch the Penguins warm up on the ice. Guests can also enjoy the dining and shopping offered within the arena while waiting for the puck to drop.
WVU’s Alumni Night falls on the same game day as Margaritaville Night, with the first 7,500 attendees receiving a free Hawaiian shirt that sets the stadium mood. Additionally, tickets can be upgraded to include an exclusive Penguins cooler backpack.
“The inaugural WVU Night at PPG Paints Arena is a special opportunity for Mountaineers to reconnect beyond campus,” said Kevin Berry, the vice president of Alumni Relations and CEO of the WVU Alumni Association. Members of the Alumni Association have worked diligently on the event and are, as Berry described, “thrilled to bring alumni and friends together in Pittsburgh to kick off a new tradition.”
The game takes place Thursday, March 5. Plan to arrive before 7 p.m. on game day to enjoy everything the night has to offer and be part of the first-ever WVU Alumni Night at PPG Paints arena. Get your tickets here.
