Mon Health employees are bringing their unique talents to the stage this Saturday, May 14th.
In the slowly ebbing wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, hospitals and their employees are still working to recover. Now we have the opportunity to support the health care heroes in the Mon Health system in more ways than one.
The Colleague Support Fund is a Mon Health Medical Center Foundation fund that helps support and financially assist Mon Health employees in times of crisis. The fund is open to donations online, but the foundation has come up with a different plan to make donating a bit more fun: a talent show.
The Mon Health’s Got Talent show starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, at the Ruby Amphitheater in Hazel Ruby McQuain Park, with food and refreshments to round out the event. The twist: Mon Health employees themselves will be the ones showing off their talents. So your ticket purchase lets you support these health care heroes not only by contributing to the Colleague Support Fund, but also by cheering them on as they share a part of who they are outside of the hospital with you.
It’s not just Mon Health’s talent you’ll see on Saturday, either. Nashville songwriters Erik Dylan, Brad Clawson, and Brett Taylor will be in attendance, and you’ll have the chance to meet them. They’ve worked with some big names in country music, such as Kip Moore, Kenny Chesney, and Tim McGraw, and they are coming by to help support, celebrate, and have some fun.
Since 2020, the Mon Health Medical Center Foundation has been able to grant almost $40,000 to colleagues throughout the Mon Health system, all made possible through generous donations. All proceeds from Saturday’s event will go towards the Colleague Support Fund to help the foundation continue to support Mon Health employees.
Tickets range in price depending on age, with children 12 and under attending for free and special VIP tickets available as well. Visit the website to purchase tickets online or to see a list of locations where you can buy a ticket in person.
