Enjoy the unique cuisine offered at Bites X Sips.

The Morgantown food truck scene has a flavorful new addition: Lina Sanli, owner of Bites X Sips, is serving up unique and mouthwatering dishes at 1625 Sabraton Avenue. Inspired by her Turkish roots, she has built a menu that unites cultures and delights tastebuds.
We talked with Sanli about her inspiration, her menu, and what makes Bites X Sips unique.
Why “Bites X Sips”?
Lina Sanli: Actually, because of my dad. We are from Turkey, and my dad had a little hot dog stand in Turkey called Bites X Sips, so I wanted to use that name here too.
What led you to start a truck instead of opening a restaurant?
LS: I started this just wanting to rebuild something of my own. It was either going to be a coffee shop or a burger place. So for now, the food truck would be the cheapest option for me. And I chose burgers, thinking it would probably work better in Morgantown. Then we just added our own touches—like bowls and hot dogs—in our style, and honestly, it’s the best part.
How has the community responded?
LS: People really enjoy my food, I feel like, because they keep coming back. I have so many regulars this far. I meet new people every day, and it’s amazing to be part of the local community this way.
What should we try first?

LS: My favorite is definitely my smash burger. It’s so good! We use a special blend sourced from our local butcher.
After the smash burger, everyone’s favorite is one of my specials, the İzmir Melt. It’s a Turkish-inspired sandwich, and we tried to recreate it as authentically as possible.
I also have my homemade lemonade, which I want to share more about, because some people might wonder what makes it different from a regular lemonade. It’s a long process. We grate lemon peels and let them marinate with sugar for 24 hours. It’s called maceration. And then we squeeze the juice from lemons, mix it with the peel and sugar mixture, add water, strain it, and bottle it ourselves. It’s super clean—no syrups, no additives, nothing—and it’s all homemade. I think this lemonade is gonna be a huge hit this summer, and we already have customers who ordered more than a gallon at a time. Some even come just for the lemonade alone.
Besides its usual parking spot at 1625 Sabraton Avenue, Bites X Sips will be found at events through the summer, including the Ruby Summer Concert series Friday night performances. Follow @bitesxsips on FB and IG to keep up with Sanli.
