Enjoy four courses and a titillating twenties theme at The Brew Pub’s October 17 murder mystery event.

’Tis the month for murder and mystery, and “’Til Death Do Us Part” is the theme of the murder mystery dinner next Thursday, October 17, at The Brew Pub.
Attendees are the invited guests at a wedding, and a member of the wedding party has been murdered. Flapper dresses and dapper tuxes are encouraged for the 1920s-themed, four-course death dinner staged in The Brew Pub’s atmospheric speakeasy by The Murder Mystery Co., says Brew Pub General Manager Michael Morris. Participants will enjoy butternut squash soup, a garden salad, apple cider chicken with sweet potato and asparagus—autumn stir fry with tofu for the vegetarians—and homemade pumpkin cheesecake as they mingle, probe, and try to identify the killer.
The October 17 event is the beginning of a monthly event series at the brewery and restaurant that changed hands earlier this year, says Morris. Brewing is yet to come, but The Brew Pub rolled out a new menu several weeks ago, he says, along with a seasonal cocktail list that includes a Cranberry Apple Cinnamon Margarita, a Pumpkin Spice Mule, and other fall-flavored sips.
Call to reserve your seat—tickets are $60 each. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the crime-solving fun starts at 8. The dinner tops out at 50 attendees but, if it fills up, don’t despair, Morris says, because he expects to organize another murder mystery dinner soon. Meanwhile, you can look forward to a November Bridgerton event: a four-course meal accompanied by a string quartet playing classical versions of current pop songs. 304.306.2044
