Local restaurants and coffee shops offer the chance to feel cozy.
Feeling chilly? Temperatures are dropping, leaves are changing, and our beloved West Virginia fall is in full force. This is the season for fires, and there are many places in town where you can enjoy them.
Grab a friend and head to River View Rooftop. This Wharf District bar provided views up and down the river and refreshing drinks all summer long. Now that it’s fall, we can see the city lights twinkle from above while enjoying cocktails next to the outdoor firepit and patio heaters. An open-air fire can also be found at Apothecary Ale House in its lovely downtown beer garden, where you can sip your favorite brew.
Prefer to enjoy an indoor fire? Annie’s Coffee and Creamery in Cheat Lake is your spot. Inside, you can relax on a couch or in one of the chairs next to a large fireplace. A small, cozy indoor fireplace can also be found at Coffee Tree Roasters in Westover, where the iced Pumpkin Chai Latte with pumpkin cold foam and caramel drizzle really lifts the spirits.
Night time is the right time for a glowing fire. In Suncrest Towne Centre, you can enjoy dinner in the spacious setting of Bartini Prime, where fireplaces both indoors and out are sure to enhance your experience. If your taste is more modern, Bourbon Prime offers a sleek, upscale atmosphere where you can enjoy cocktails, lounge on the couches, and enjoy the leaping flames.
