The title of Best Real Estate Agent was hotly contested already in its first year in BOM, with more than 80 contenders nominated. One Realtor rose to the top, and that was Travis Cadalzo with J.S. Walker Associates. Cadalzo is a New Jersey transplant who moved to Morgantown with his wife. He’s been an agent in town for five years and, because he isn’t from here, he can see the community for what it really is to outsiders: a gem. “Morgantown is a wonder,” Cadalzo says. “You have all the conveniences of a large city: restaurants, shopping, recreation, art, health care, green space, and all with a small-town feel.” And he loves showing it off. He chalks his success up to earning the trust of his clients during a high-stress transaction and takes pride in being able to calm the waters no matter what happens along the way.
