Morgantown’s MLB Draft League team opens the season with hat giveaways, post-game fireworks, and a new manager.

Get ready for a summer filled with home runs and hot dogs—Black Bears baseball returns to Wagner Field at Kendrick Family Ballpark in Granville on Tuesday, June 9.
The first pitch of the season crosses the plate at 7 p.m. Attend opening night and receive a special treat: The first 500 fans get commemorative 2025 championship hats, and the evening ends with post-game fireworks.
Look for plenty of themed nights, celebrations, and fan promotions all summer long. In June, fans can enjoy West Virginia Day on the 20th with a blue-and-gold sock giveaway. Celebrate your dad on the 21st with Father’s Day bucket hats and the Ultimate Dad Contest, plus post-game catch and movie night. And the fireworks go on all season long: Every Friday home game wraps up with a post-game firework display—another reason to kick off your weekends at the ballpark.

The 2026 season marks a new era for the Black Bears, with Tim Garland taking over as manager. Garland becomes the eighth manager in West Virginia Black Bears history after retiring from a career that included stints with the New York Yankees and San Francisco Giants organizations.
Single game tickets are $14.50 for adults, while season tickets are available for $420. The team is also offering a handful of discounted ticket package options throughout the season.
