Early voting starts October 21 for the November 3, 2026, general election.

The Tuesday, November 3, election is important: It will determine one of our U.S. senators and one of our representatives in Congress. State Senate and House of Delegates seats are in play, too—plus a seat on the Monongalia County Commission.
Voters will also be asked to renew the current excess levy for Monongalia County emergency services.
Also on the ballot is a proposal to amend the West Virginia state Constitution to say that only U.S. citizens can vote in West Virginia—simply a wording change, because it’s already true.
Early voting takes place October 21–31, 9 a.m.–5 p.m., every day but Sunday, at the Mountaineer Mall and at Mason–Dixon Park.
On Election Day, November 3, polls will open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. Your Election Day polling place is determined by your precinct. Use this interactive map or the West Virginia Secretary of State’s online database to locate your polling place.
Check your precinct number there, too—then, whether you’re voting early or on Election Day, you can preview your Monongalia County ballot here.
Still not clear? Call the Monongalia County Clerk’s office at 304.291.7230.
