At Cardinal Pediatrics, it’s about more than just annual checkups and treating illnesses. Co-owners Patti Malone and Lisa McBride focus on the comprehensive care of their patients, including mental health, developmental disorders, lactation services, and more. Since 2006, the two pediatricians have been expanding their practice, both geographically and service-wise, to meet the needs of kids and their caregivers.
The duo attended medical school and completed their residency together. Their goal—to serve the community by opening clinics that provide quality pediatric care to anyone in need—has certainly come to fruition. Together, they’ve opened offices in Suncrest, Cheat Lake, Fairmont, Wheeling, Parkersburg, and Bridgeport.
“I knew I wanted to be a pediatrician since I was little,” McBride says. “There’s no other area of medicine that’s as much fun.” Malone agrees, noting how much they enjoy seeing their patients grow and treating them from birth to age 21. Whether a child is experiencing a cold or something more complex, the Cardinal Pediatrics team will be there for them every step of the way.
