If you’re planning to vote early in Morgantown, one site offers a little something extra.
Early voting started October 23—and if you vote at the Art Museum of WVU, you can reward yourself by viewing the “Our Votes, Our Values” exhibition.
“Our Votes, Our Values” offers a look at ongoing national conversations—homelessness, gun rights and gun violence, labor issues, peaceful vs. violent protest, globalism—to encourage voters to think about how their voting decisions relate to their own values.
The exhibition includes photographs, prints, paintings, and sculptural works from the Art Museum’s collection as well as three original pieces from March, the graphic memoir of the late civil rights leader and congressman John Lewis.
Early voting takes place 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day except Sunday through November 2 at these locations:
- The Monongalia County Election Center at the Mountaineer Mall, 5000 Greenbag Road—enter from the parking lot near Anybody Fitness;
- Mason–Dixon Historical Park, 79 Buckeye Road, Core—in the red barn;
- Suncrest Towne Centre—next to First United Bank;
- The Art Museum of WVU, 20 Fine Arts Drive.
Art Museum exhibitions are open 12:30–6 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays so, if you vote early there on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday afternoon, you can take in the exhibition on the same visit
Wherever you decide to vote, remember to thank your poll worker.
