Don’t miss your chance to discover something special—join in on Saturday, April 18, starting at 10 a.m.
Gold–Blue Spring Festival
This year’s scrimmage starts at noon, and it’s followed at 2:30 by a post-game concert by Jake Owen.
Admission is free, and donations to WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s hospital are encouraged. Claim your tickets in advance online.
Mal’s Spring Bash
There’s nothing better to kick off the spring season than a party—except maybe a party with a petting zoo. Mal’s Spring Bash has it all: vendors, Southern Texas BBQ, and yes, a petting zoo.
After a long winter away, Mal’s Fresh Produce is excited to welcome the community back for the warm season ahead. Everyone is invited to this family-friendly celebration, so clear your schedule for April 18 from noon to 3:30 p.m. and get ready to celebrate spring in style.
Mon River Sweep
There’s nothing like a day on the river to help you kick back and relax—but what if you could relax and help spruce things up for spring?
The West Virginia Water Research Institute is hosting a Mon River Sweep at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park and needs your help with the cleanup. Whether you’re dropping in or spending the day, any help is appreciated. Kayaks and canoes will be available for those who want to help on the water.
Saturday, April 18, is the day, so plan to hit the ground—or water—running and make a difference.
International Street Festival
WVU students from around the world showcase their cultures at this annual festival. Sample traditional foods, explore cultural games, experience live entertainment, and learn from international students about their homelands.
The fun starts at noon at the Morgantown Market Place on Spruce Street.
Walking with Survivors
Lace up your sneakers and get ready to walk for a great cause. April is recognized as both Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Morgantown is making its voice heard.
The Rape and Domestic Violence Information Center (RDVIC) is hosting a one-mile walk through Morgantown, inviting survivors and supporters alike to take a stand. And in an attempt to encourage empathy and understanding, RDVIC will also feature a shoe swap table—letting participants literally walk in someone else’s shoes.
This family-friendly event will include music, food, and prizes. Head down to the Morgantown Farmer’s Market Saturday, April 18, at noon to register. The walk kicks off at 1 p.m.
