When the temperatures rise, hit these spots for a quick cool down.
The solstice officially kicked off summer this week, and, if you needed an environmental reminder of the season, temperature gauges rose well into the 90s on Tuesday. Luckily, there are plenty of places in Morgantown where you can beat the heat by way of a tasty treat.
POP! The Soda Shop just opened in Westover, and it’s the perfect place to get a thirst-quenching, heat-busting beverage on a warm day in Mountaineer Country. The new business offers soda with a twist, ice cream, and old-fashioned floats. Opt for one of the recipes on the menu, or let your creativity and taste buds be your guide concocting your very own tasty beverage.
Choose from two locations of Bubble Fish—High Street or Suncrest Towne Centre—for a tall, refreshing beverage on a hot summer’s day. You’ll find so many options for milk teas, fruit teas, and fresh fruit smoothies on the menu, something’s bound to cool you down.
Opt for a tasty cereal-inspired milkshake at one of High Street’s most recent additions: Day and Night Exotic Cereal Bar. Check out the mouth-watering—and refreshing—menu, here, because it’s always a good time for cereal.
Morgantown loves its ice cream—there are at least 15 ice cream shops in town. One of the newest to join the scene is actually an ice cream truck called Rolling Hills Rolled Ice Cream, and people are raving about it. Watch Facebook, because the truck’s schedule is announced every Monday for the week ahead.
