Winter can seem endless, but don’t lose hope—summer is coming, sooner than you think. And with it, the excitement of summer camp. Most camps have already opened their registration, and spots fill quickly. Don’t miss the chance to get your kids into the camp of their dreams—browse this list of Morgantown camps and start the registration process today.
Champion Training Academy
Are you raising a future champion? If so, Champion Training Academy is the place for them to spend the summer. With different themes like Fairytale, Superhero, Mad Scientist, and Animal Kingdom, each week of training is sure to be one your child won’t forget.
Camps begin June 1 and extend to August 14, so there are plenty of sessions for your little trainer. Sessions take place Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Champion Training Academy.
CrossFit Morgantown
If your kid loves to run free, sign them up for the 2026 CrossFit Morgantown (CFM) Summer Camp. At CFM, the goal is to teach healthy goals that will last throughout your kid’s lifetime—like exercise, nutrition, and healthy living. Camp is August 3–7 at the CFM studio, and kids aged 4 to 10 are welcome.
Energy Express
Want a program that focuses on literacy and nutrition this summer? Look no further, because Energy Express has both covered in its 2026 summer session. Art, reading, and take-home books are just a few things this program has to offer. With dedicated and caring volunteers and staff, Energy Express is ready to help your kid have a memorable and educational experience. The 2026 summer session runs June 15–24.
KD Horsemanship
Calling all horse fanatics! Registration is open for 2026 summer camp at KD Horsemanship. Kids 6 and up are welcome to attend this educational camp, where they will learn about caring for and managing horses. No experience? No problem, as this experience is all about learning and tailors activities to what campers already know. If you do know a bit already, sign up for the overnight camp for intermediate learners.
The 5-day camp for beginners is offered June 8–12 and June 15–19, starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m. each day. The intermediate overnight camp is June 26–27, with drop-off at 10 a.m. and pick up at 4 p.m. the next day.
Monongalia Arts Center
The Monongalia Arts Center is gearing up for an amazing summer of art and expression, with several programs for different ages. Whether your 5-to-8-year-old wants to learn about and paint state cryptids or your 11-to-14-year-old is ready to get their photography on, there is a place for them at the center. And with dedicated staff ready to instruct them every step of the way, this summer is sure to be one of learning. Programs begin in late June and run into August, with dates and ages changing with each program.
Morgantown BOPARC
This summer, the Morgantown Board of Parks and Recreation is ready to make your kid’s summer the best with more than eight programs. Whether you are raising a future artist, musician, scientist, or olympian, BOPARC has you covered. And if your kid needs a camp all summer long, Camp YETI and grade-separated day camps are perfect for you.
Morgantown Learning Academy
Morgantown Learning Academy is ready to host your kid this summer, and camp lasts all day long. With outdoor adventures, educational opportunities, and more, a summer to remember is just around the corner. Camp is available for children ages 5–11, with drop-off starting at 7:30 a.m. and pick-up running as late as 6 p.m.
Mountain Stewardship and Outdoor Leadership
Got a kid with cabin fever? Well, the Mountain Stewardship and Outdoor Leadership summer programs will be a perfect fit. Whether it is fishing, hamping, survival skills, or one of the other programs, your kid will not only leave the house but learn valuable skills for surviving out in the wilderness. Several programs are offered during the summer, and programs vary in length and by age.
Mylan Park
Are sports your kid’s jam? You’re in luck—because Mylan Park has every sport imaginable covered in its June–August summer camp at the Hazel & J.W. Ruby Community Center. Or check out the camp exclusively for pickleballers. And if discovery and relaxation are more your kid’s thing, check out the Discovery Days or Parent’s Night Off programs, where fun is still at the forefront.
Popshop WV
Future rockstars unite—Popshop has opened its summer programs for registration, and they have lots to offer. Whether your kid wants to work on their performance skills, tech skills, or something else, there is bound to be a program for them.
Set your musician up to grow this summer with a variety of classes that will help them build their talent and maybe even turn it into a lifestyle. Programs run June through July.
Raptor Camp
If birds are their thing, birds they shall receive. At least, they will receive birds if they attend Raptor Camp 2026, where the focus is on different groups of local raptors. At camp, your kid will get to meet some on-site birds while also participating in games, crafts, and educational experiences. Two Monday–Thursday sessions are available in June, and they are separated by grade.
The Shack Neighborhood House
Need a camp that lasts all day? Sign your kid up to spend their summer at The Shack Neighborhood House, where they’ll be busy having fun all day. This year’s Festival of Fun theme is packed with exciting activities like arts and crafts, special guests, educational experiences, and, of course, pool time.
Camp is Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m.–5 p.m. and is for kids in K–6th grade. So pack up their swimsuit and a towel and send your kid to spend their summer at the Shack.
The Source Foundation
Excitement awaits your kid at The Source Foundation, where summer camp is filled with learning and fun. Between water balloons, games, and adventures, there is bound to be something that stays in your child’s memories for a lifetime.
Camp runs June 15 through July 31, Monday to Friday each week. Each day begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m.
Suncrest Childcare and Early Learning.
Let your kid spend their summer at Kidz Rock Summer Camp, where their days will be filled with activities, trips, visitors, and much more fun. In the past, campers have visited campgrounds, pools, and other sites while receiving visits from a petting zoo and the WVU Mountaineer mascot. Whether it’s the full summer or only six weeks, the experience is bound to be unforgettable. Camp is available for 1st through 6th graders, and it runs from mid-June to mid-August.
Viking Performance Training
Got a little viking in your home? Thanks to Viking Performance Training’s summer camps, you can sign them up to channel their inner warrior outside the home, too. With camp themes including speed and agility, viking games, girls only, and more, there’s a session for every kid to go explore. Ages 7–13 are welcome.
West Virginia Botanic Garden
Nature is the focus at the summer camps hosted by the West Virginia Botanic Garden, where campers learn about the natural world and the things that inhabit it. Whether it’s birds, plants, water, or other things your kid is interested in, there is a place for them. Both the Curious Kids Camp and the Discovery Camp have sessions available for your camper, but spots are filling quickly, so be sure to register soon.
The WOW! Factory
Did K-Pop Demon Hunters rock your kid’s world this year? Or are they in their Labubu era? Well, the WOW! Factory has you covered with its 2026 themed summer programs. Every week is a new theme that your child will love, and they will have the opportunity to participate in multiple crafts and activities. Camp registration is done by the week, and each session runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.
WVU Engineering Challenge Days
WVU is gearing up for a summer of learning with its engineering challenge camps this summer. Whether you have a 1st grader or a 12th grader, there’s a camp date for your kid to visit and learn about what it means to be an engineer. And they might make some good friends, too.
Challenge camps are put on by the WVU Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources and will run in June and July, with most sessions going from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. If your kid is on their way to joining the next generation of engineers, sign them up for a challenge.
