Inspired by the roller rink culture of the 1970s and ’80s, Retro Skate combines vintage flair with modern fun. There are bounce houses for the 12 and under set, too, and a snack bar to keep everyone satisfied.
Snow tubing at Wisp Resort

If you have never gone snow tubing at Wisp Resort, this is your season to try it out. Tubing at Wisp offers all the thrills of sledding without having to walk back up the hill. With up to 12 tubing chutes, each 750 feet long, and conveyor carpets that whisk you right back to the top, you can speed down the hill, wind in your face, over and over again.
Take in a Wheeling Nailers hockey game

Thrill to the sight of players criss-crossing the ice and the sound of blades cutting the surface at a game of the Wheeling Nailers, the AA affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Tension in the rink mounts with every pass, check, and slapshot. The passion for winter hockey brings communities together in celebration of the sport, and the cold outside only concentrates the warmth of shared excitement.
Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad

Departing from Romney, the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad glides along the South Branch of the Potomac River and offers sprawling views of the wintry mountains. Cruise through Trough canyon, home to families of American bald eagles. You can stay warm inside as you pass through beautiful pastures and farms dating back to the 1700s, relaxing to the rhythmic sounds of the wheels. All excursions offer narration and concessions.
