Art Museum of West Virginia University
voted best art gallery in Morgantown in 2022
In 2015, the Creative Arts Center at West Virginia University achieved a dream come true: a unique, in-house art museum dedicated to bringing the world of art to West Virginia. “The museum is about bringing West Virginia artists back to the state,” says director Todd Tubutis, “but we’re not afraid to bring them in from all over the world, too.” The museum’s 5,000-piece collection enriches the university, the community, and the state. Don’t miss these new exhibits: “True Colors: Picturing Identity,” examining art and the human form, and “From the Mountain,” displaying renowned West Virginia potter Malcolm Davis’s works.
This is why the Art Museum of West Virginia University was voted best art gallery in Morgantown in 2022.
