This popular drive-thru beverage has opened in Morgantown.

Some traditions begin without much planning. Mine started every time I went home from WVU to Fayette County, West Virginia, when I was an undergrad. Since those trips were rare, my younger brother and I would spend a day wandering around Beckley, stopping in stores and catching up.
But before we did anything else, we always went to 7 Brew first.
The ritual is easier to keep now that a new 7 Brew opened on Chaplin Hill Road in Morgantown in early June–and it gives me an opportunity to bribe my brother into visiting me in Morgantown.
Founded in 2017 in Arkansas, 7 Brew is known for its quick drive-thru service, upbeat atmosphere, and highly customizable drinks. While coffee is at the center of the menu, the chain has built a devoted following for its flavored energy drinks, teas, lemonades, smoothies, and shakes. You can mix and match dozens of flavor combinations, which is part of what makes the shop stand out from typical coffee shops.
The Morgantown location has already attracted a steady crowd, even without students in town over the summer. Long lines during opening week signaled strong local interest, and the buzz has continued.

Among the most popular orders are the signature Blondie coffee drink and the 7 Energy line. My brother and I almost always choose the Sunrise or Brewberry energy drinks, and in the fall we switch to the Pumpkin Blondie, a seasonal favorite of mine that returns to the menu in late August.
For me, the new shop is more than another coffee stand. It brings a familiar piece of home to my graduate-school routine. This once simple stop with my brother has become a tradition I now share with friends in Morgantown.
Whether you are already a 7 Brew regular or trying it for the first time, the new location offers a convenient place for a morning coffee, an afternoon energy boost, or a drink that might become part of your own routine.
