Plan now to be part of these Rosenbaum Family House events that brighten the season for families in need.
Two upcoming fundraisers support the Rosenbaum Family House’s ability to house adult patients of WVU Medicine and their caregivers—and they’re both good family holiday fun.
Wreath Decorating Contest and Auction
You can turn your creativity to cash for Rosenbaum Family House—here’s the schedule:
- Between November 1 and 15, stop by RFH at 30 Family House Drive and pick up a free undecorated wreath. You can also get it at the Transplant Office on the first floor of Ruby Memorial Hospital, across from Starbucks.
- By December 1, turn your decorated wreath in at either of those same two locations.
- December 15–16, an online auction runs from 1 p.m. on the 15th for 24 hours.
The top three wreaths, as voted on by RFH guests, staff, and volunteers, receive prizes. Auction proceeds support the patients, families, and programs at Rosenbaum Family House.
Run, Santa, Run 5K and Children’s Reindeer Ramble
While you’re waiting to see how your wreath will do in the auction, join the Run, Santa, Run 5K. Coming together on December 6 for a 7th time this year, the 8:30 a.m. Reindeer Ramble and 9 a.m. 5K are becoming a holiday-season tradition. Registrants receive Santa hats and more, and the top three runners in lots of categories win Run, Santa, Run mittens. The 5K is chip-timed. You can register right up until race time, but registrations submitted by 11:59 p.m. on November 29 get an early registration discount.
Last year’s 5K drew more than 450 participants and directed more than $37,000 toward the lodging, meals, and living essentials that RFH provides to more than 2,000 families receiving treatment at WVU Medicine’s Morgantown Campus each year. 2026 is a great time to add your support.
