Create your own hand-crafted bubble lemonade concoction at Wonder Bubble.
With bubble tea selling well at their pita restaurant in Buckhannon a few years ago, Katie De La Vega and her partner got to thinking. “My partner came up with the idea for bubble lemonade,” says De La Vega, “and it just really took off—it was out-selling all of our food.”
So when the pandemic shut their brick-and-mortar shop down, “we thought, ‘We should do this,’” she says. “‘Sell bubble lemonade—on a truck.’”
Debuted in 2021, the eye-catching Wonder Bubble food truck travels the region. “In all of the communities we go to, everybody’s always super stoked when we pull in,” De La Vega says.
Choose from the wide variety of flavored lemonades, then pair it with your choice of nearly 10 bubble flavors, from Strawberry to Chili Pepper. And the bubbles themselves aren’t like the typical chewy tapioca pearls. “We have ‘bursting boba,’ so it’s more like a juice ball. When you bite down, they pop!”
